Professor Tin and his team from the University of Mandalay in Myanmar visited DDFORS, accompanied by Professor Zhao Zhifang, the Director of the Department of Geology at the School of Resources and Environmental Sciences at Yunnan University, and Dr. Zhou Jiaxi, a researcher from the Institute of Geochemistry at Chinese Academy of Sciences, on July 6th, 2018. Vice Director Hong Yong introduced the history of DDFORS, while Dr. Hu Hongsen, a graduate student from the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, introduced Jiangjia Ravine debris flow, including its formation conditions, movement process, accumulation characteristics, hazards, and prevention. Professor Tin and his team also visited the debris flow exhibition hall and viewed photos about the debris flow in Jiangjia Ravine. At the end of the visit, Professor Tin and his team expressed their warm thanks to DDFORS and took a group photo to commemorate the visit.
